Are We Refusing Helping Others, cuz it's Their Karma?

I find these images of installation and performance art pieces by Nick Cave to be pictures or imaginations of consciousness. Each sort-of human has intricate, complex, multi-leveled interconnecting karma. I find in studying them a feeling of satisfaction of what I think we all are carrying around with us, inside of us. What do we look like stripped of our human body? When we cross the threshold of earthly consciousness, we drop the sack of the physical and we emerge over the threshold either in dreamless sleep consciously or after death. I think meeting our double would be a severe wake-up call.

Having a "THING" about Crowns... Prescience of Destiny

I had a "THING" about crowns when I was about this age. I had a brown glass pill bottle that I kept secreted in my nightstand drawer.  I collected all kinds of tiny jeweled crowns from decorative buttons to costume jewelry, brooches, earrings, everything crowns. I felt it was imperative that I had these on hand. They gave me great joy and filled me with awe, wonder and mystery. (If I had had a crown like the one pictured above, I would have swooned in rapture)   I grew up and some 35+ years later, in 2000, when I arrived...

Longing for Mystery; How Spiritual Experiences Change Your Life

Yearning for Spiritual Renewal - excerpt from Alchemy the Magical Arts of the Union of Soul© Kristena West        "As souls, we long for mystery. We long for something to take us out of our lives, change us, shape us, intend us toward something better, something great, toward light, heat, passion, potency and purpose. Although we may desire this adventure into spirit, many of us fight off these experiences, as our egos consider them too threatening. Joseph Campbell, when speaking of the lure and danger of surrendering into the unconscious, says that these visions and dreams are dangerous. They are...

Meditation, Contemplation & Painting with Spiritual Worlds; an Artist's Life

“The starting point for a new life of art can come only by direct stimulation from the spiritual world. We must become artists, not by developing symbolism or allegory, but by rising, through spiritual knowledge, more and more into the spiritual world.” Rudolf Steiner "Thus the anthroposophical world-conception is capable of giving a strong impetus to cognition as well as to religious experience. In the case of cognition it stresses the fact that one must travel a road of purification before passing the gate to the spiritual world. On the other hand, it stresses the truth that religious life...

Archetypal Dreams The Sacred Twins Creation Heros; meeting the Deities

When an Archetype enters your life, change is the new normal. They bring raw uncontrolled forces, upheaval, powerful kinetic somatic shifts, and sometimes a 180 degree turn about in what we think we know. This can collapse our world view, our consolidated and carefully constructed reality. It's good for us, but not pleasant typically, to go through a deconstruction or dismemberment to a newly "remembered" life. Carl Jung brought forward for western culture the idea of Archetypes as a psychological tool for analysis. Jung himself underwent a dismemberment in  his own life, while being a counselor of others. By the...
